We believe in a natural approach to training. We start out working with the dog's natural instincts to form a foundation,
then it is easy to teach our dogs basic obedience. This is ultimately teaching them to understand our language, "English."
Our training is also geared very much to "People" training/coaching. I have come to understand that the more *I* learn
and am consistent, the better behaved my dog is.
We offer training packages for puppies and older dogs.
2 free 60 min training sessions with each puppy/dog adopted from Maple Lane Labs. We recommend
that you use these training sessions when a problem arises with the training or behavior of the puppy. If you training goes
smoothly then you can use the training sessions for teaching them a trick or explore the possibility of competing in an
AKC event like the CGC, obedience, show, or hunting competitions.

These packages are for puppies from 7weeks to 24weeks old. You have many options with our training program. We are
most concerned with helping you and your new puppy get off to a great start and prevent problems before they start. So
we can do the training for you before you take your puppy home, or you can bring them back for training at any time.
This training helps make a smooth transition for you and your new family member in to your home. This is especially
good if you have a busy schedule and don't feel that you can put the time into training your puppy. The package prices
are in addition to the cost of your puppy. The entire amount of training must be paid up front before we begin working
with your puppy.
While in training, your puppy is separated from its mother and litter mates, so he/she will keep us up during the first few
nights, not you. We also introduce your puppy to short car rides. My children participate in the training so that your
puppy is exposed to a number of people in obedience/training situations.
Please understand, we will work very hard with your new puppy, but this is only a START of house training and
obedience. You will need to be consistent and continue the training that we have started. Your puppy is a puppy and
developmentally they need time to physically and mentally mature. Puppies will not be able to hold their bladder and
bowels for long periods of time till they are around 6 months old. It will take this long before they will be reliable in
their house training if you have been consistent in their training. We can't guarantee that your puppy will be totally
house trained or obedience trained when they leave as this is nearly impossible at such a young age. We will give your
puppy the best start!! Labs are very smart and learn quickly. We use positive reinforcement and encourage positive
training when you take your puppy. If you are harsh and negative it could cause them to revert to unwanted behavior.
Formal Training-Instructor Amy Smith
(puppy must be a minimum age of 12 weeks)
Upon completion of either of these programs the dog will compete the test for the AKC 's CGC certificate and pass. In
this program your puppy/dog will be taken through a structured 8 or 10 week program used to prepare a dog for AKC
obedience competitions. The boarding program does teach crate training but not include house training. This means
that we can not guarantee the dog will be reliable enough to have free range in the home and not have an accident. It
does mean that they will have a positive feeling about their crate and know not to potty in their crate. If the family
continues to use the crate to prevent accidents when they can't give their dog their full attention it is likely that the dog
will not have accidents.
AKC Star Puppy/ Basic Training Class- for the Pack
Cost: $120 (plus $5 fee to receive your Star Puppy Certificate) *this class is at Karemy Labs*
Get your puppy/ dog off on the right start with lessons that encourage good behaviors, avoid unacceptable ones, all the
while helping you establish a strong bond with your new arrival. For puppies 8 weeks and older. AKC Star Puppy
Certificate of completion earned and eligible for enrollment into the AKC Star Puppy Program or CGC certificate . Course
length: 7 weeks. Key topics include:
*Introduction to the Canine language, teaching your puppy to understand English.
*Basic manners
*Socialization with people and other dogs
*Human / Canine Relationship-forming games
*Problem prevention & solving
*Tips on health, grooming and nutrition
We help you take steps to training your dog yourself!! It is vital that you develop a training routine that you stick with at
least till the pup is 6-12 months old and then periodically review throughout the pups life time to reinforce and continue
to avoid unacceptable behavior.
Canine Good Citizen Preparation Training Class
Cost: $120 (+ the $5 fee to receive your CGC certificate) *this class is at Karemy Labs*

receive a certificate of completion & possibly earning the CGC title/certificate. This program is open to pure & mixed
breeds. Course length: 8 weeks. Week 9 will be the CGC test. It is an easy pet friendly test. Let everyone know that
your dog is a Canine Good Citizen. Key topics to be covered in the classes include:
1. Understanding canine communication
2. What is Canine Good Citizen
3. Understanding your dogs development
4. Sit, Down, Stay commands
5. Walking with your dog
6. Coming when called
7. Training with distractions
8. Test preparation
9. Taking the test

two week package is $560.00, this will include any vaccinations your puppy may need while in training
with us.
Package 2: One week obedience and housebreaking, same training as stated above. The price of this
one week course is $280.00.

or any medical fees associated with the dogs care during this time. See below for a list of commands

Option 2-
